Class of 1970 50th + 2 Reunion

The “50^th + 2” Reunion is coming up soon, on the weekend of August 5 and 6, 2022.

If you have not yet sent in your reservation and purchased a ticket, please do so soon!

We will have a “50^th + 2” Reunion the weekend of August 5 and 6, 2022
The schedule of events will be as follows:

Friday Class Get Together Event, American Legion, Main Street, Whitesboro, 6 PM

Saturday Golf Outing, Sadaquada Golf Club - RSVP Required
Saturday Senior High School Tour 2 PM - RSVP Required

Saturday Catholic Mass of Remembrance 4 PM

Saturday Class Dinner and Dancing, Harts Hill Inn, Whitesboro 6 PM

Golf Outing:
The deadline for the golf outing has passed, however, if you are interested in playing at the Sadaquada Country Club Golf Course in Whitesboro Saturday morning, please contact Maria Sirianni Allen at meallen1552@gmail.com as soon as possible.
The cost to play for 9 holes is $20 without a cart and $30 with a cart.

We have always held raffles for prizes at our Friday get togethers, and on reunion years, at our Saturday event. We are looking for donations to use for prizes.
Some ideas include: bath lover’s, chocolate lovers’ baskets; knitted throws, homemade quilts, or other items or services of interest. Your donations are welcome and appreciated.

Hotel rooms are going fast. Only 2 rooms remain in the block of rooms reserved for reunion at the Hampton Inn and Suites.

Casual Get Together to start the weekend! This is our yearly informal get together, complete with Joe's Pizza at the Legion.

We will meet at the high school on the sidewalk between the Auditorium and the Gym entrances. Park in lots 5 & 6, seen in the picture that follows.
Kevin Storsberg , Director of Facilities, will be giving our tour.

Saturday Night Class Dinner and Dancing 6 PM:

An informal class dinner and dancing is scheduled for 6 PM at the Harts Hill Inn in Whitesboro.

A song list of over 60 selections has been received from classmates and given to the DJ. Oldies from our era will be played during cocktails and dinner with a mix of contemporary selections for dancing.

Baked chicken, Italian meatballs, sausage and peppers, hot vegetable, oven browned potatoes, rice pilaf, tossed garden salad, chef seasonal salad, provolone cheese, Genoa salami, Italian bread/butter. Coffee/tea.
Chef carved : hot baked ham, hot Turkey breast, hot tip round of beef
Prepared to order- pasta station-bow ties Alfredo, penne marinara.

In honor of our 50th Reunion we will donate a class gift to Whitesboro Senior High School. To help support WHS’s high expectations for all students, and in consultation with the WHS guidance department, we have designed a scholarship to support a student’s dream to attend a post-secondary program, either at a two-year or four-year college or at a vocational school. Please see the attached Class of 1970 Class Gift Letter.pdf for detailed information. Note that checks for the class gift are made out directly to the Whitesboro Central School District. As of this writing (7/8/2022) the class has raised $2325, and we hope you will consider a sending a donation.

We do really need your help to keep our contact list up-to-date for another year! Our committee has worked hard to reach out to the class and gather your email addresses, phone numbers, and mailing addresses. If you change your contact information, and especially if you change your email address, please contact Lisa Ventura Bryant bryntfam@aol.com with any updates throughout the year.

Tickets are $75 per person. If you have already purchased a ticket for the 2020 reunion and did not request or receive a refund, we still have your reservation, and no further payment is required.
